Amos, as a very young woman with a very hard past, presents a case study in emotional lability.

[Amos] is well prepared to tackle this verbose and voluble role, which requires constant stage presence and a demonstrated ability to deliver demanding poetry with meaning and style. (Act 2 is pretty much all Amos, asked to heroically bear the burden of increasingly impassioned soliloquies with little respite.)
— Martin Brady, Nashville Scene

Caroline Amos (she/they) is a Midwest-raised, New York-based actor…

… with a penchant for Shakespeare, theatre, film, voiceover, and physical comedy. She has been seen Off-Broadway in Midsummer: A Banquet; in the New Plays Festival for Columbia University’s Playwright Masters Program (Big St. Germain by Jack T. Calk); regionally as a company member with Great River Shakespeare Festival (All’s Well That Ends Well, Shakespeare In Love, Richard III, The Comedy of Errors, Romeo & Juliet and more), Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Nashville Shakespeare Festival (Richard II), Shakespeare Festival St. Louis (Good In Everything, Hamlet & Midsummer Education Tour), Park Square Theatre (The Snow Queen); and most recently originated the role of Casey in I’m Happy for You by Jacob Goodman with the New York Theatre Festival (where she was nominated for Best Actress in their Winterfest Competition).

Her film career includes credits from Ramona (2019), The Sanctity of Liz (2021), and Dream Jobs (in post production). Most recently she lent her voice to the role of an AI Bot named “Gaia” in David Storey’s Zenith Zero (in post production).

During the pandemic she began a podcast with her pal Raymond McAnally called Fatigued where the two recounted their harrowing experiences with Covid-19 and interviewed doctors, teachers, students, parents, artists, and more to learn about this virus and how it impacts everyone’s daily lives.

She can be seen (and heard!) in commercial spots online and on television (commercial reel & conflicts available upon request).

Caroline is currently preparing to make her St. Louis Shakespeare Festival Mainstage debut in the role of Rosalind in As You Like It. It runs May 29th-June 23rd, Tuesdays through Sundays. “Rosalind is Shakespeare’s most fully developed, most interesting female character. In certain circles, she’s called the female Hamlet.” - Tom Ridgely, Artistic Director.

Caroline is currently seeking theatrical representation.

These two male characters are played by two female actors, Caroline Amos and Tarah Flanagan, who both prove to be first rate clowns, especially mining those huge shoes for every morsel of fun.

Caroline Amos has the doll-like charm of a silent movie star...
